Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how Invosend works, how your clients pay, reminders, quotes and recurring invoices, and where to find the policies.

What is Invosend?

Invosend is invoicing software. You build an invoice by clicking right on it, send it by email as a PDF with a link that opens the invoice, and follow it until it is paid. It also covers quotes, recurring invoices and automatic payment reminders.

Is Invosend free?

You can create a free account, and the free tools on this site, such as the invoice generator, work without signing in. Paid plans add more features. The pricing page lists what each plan includes.

How do my clients pay?

By bank transfer, with an optional QR code, or online through a payment gateway that you connect with your own merchant account. Bank transfer is available on every plan and needs no third-party account: add your bank details in Payment setup.

Does Invosend hold my clients' payments or take a cut?

No. Payments go straight to your own bank account or your own gateway merchant account. Invosend takes no cut of your clients' payments; the payment gateway may charge its own processing fees.

What happens when a client does not pay on time?

Reminders go out automatically at three, seven and fourteen days, each one firmer. You can also see which invoices are overdue in your invoice list.

Can I send a quote first?

Yes. You send a quote, your client accepts it online by typing their name, and one click turns it into the invoice. Accepting a quote this way is an acceptance, not a legal signature.

Can I send the same invoice every month?

Yes. A recurring invoice repeats on the schedule you set, with a start date and an end date. Recurring invoices are available from the Professional plan.

How do refunds work?

You can ask for a refund of a paid plan or of purchased credits within 30 days of the payment. The Refund Policy, linked below, explains what a refund covers and how to ask for one.

How is my data handled?

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it, and our Terms of Service set out the rules for using Invosend. Both are linked below.

How do I contact support?

Write to support@invosend.com, or open the contact page for the company details.
